What are the NSFAS Eligibility Rules for 2025?
To qualify in NSFAS 2025. Following are the rules you must read:
• South African citizen or permanent resident you must have a valid ID or residency status.
• Family earns R350,000 or less per year or up to R600,000 annually if you have a disability.
• If you receive certain SASSA grants (like child support etc.) and meet academic rules you automatically qualify.
• You must be accepted at or studying at a public university or TVET college. NSFAS does not fund private institutions.

8. You meet the academic requirements of your chosen college and university, NSFAS will fund you only if your college accepts your marks and gives you a place.
